Though I was never good at playing most of them myself, I've always enjoyed watching others play video games. To me, they were a sort of interactive movie, and for my brother, D.J., I was an extra set of eyes for finding our mission or quest objectives and the person in charge of memorizing the map, including where the hidden worlds were located ( Read more... )

I really like what you've done here, with video games teaching/as a metaphor for life lessons.

And that was really harsh, if they couldn't let you complete remotely, they could've at least let you make it up the next year. But I'm glad it all worked out for you :).

Thanks! It all worked out in the end, and that's what matters most - perseverance!

(btw, I'm totally in love with your icon!)

School can be incredibly challenging. I used to get really mad at my father when he would insinuate that school was nothing compared to the real world.

Congratulations on finishing your degree. It doesn't matter how long it took you to get there. It simply matters that you've done it.

School is a full time job! I would get mad at your dad, too. My brother was of the same mindset, so he thought he was so much better than me, because I was "just" going to school and babysitting (50-100 hours a week!!!), while he'd seen the foolishness of going to college and dropped out after a year and is now working a 9-5 job instead. Always ticked me off!

Thank you! I quite agree.
