Will wonders never cease? I thought it's probably about time I made a personal update, letting people know what's going on in my life, and making it so I can look back on this time and know where I was

Certainly I am always excited to hear what is happening in my favorite cousin's life, even if that means admiring her cheerfulness and fortitude in crossing a bleak and trackless desert. I wish I had something more useful or inspiring to say than the usual dribble about how things were in my era ( the Pleistocene), or useless advice such as try harder to be born with relevant work experience and have lots of relatives in the fields you wish to enter. Failing that though, you should concentrate on getting that BAMF resume in front of as many employers as possible, this being a numbers game after all. The numbers are just more discouraging in an economy like this one. I would counsel you to be a dragon-in-waiting this time 'round, boring as that may be. Taking a vacation in your first month at work gives the wrong impression, even in government. No fun, I'm sure. Market gardening is "next-year country" too - I do know the feeling of being just past the useful-selling season and the longest possible time from time-to-get-excited-about-
