I like to think these early spring violets are actually feral violets, escapees from the greenhouses that used to line NY 9G-still called Violet Ave-in these parts
I love this.
We have some vinca, lots of dafs and narcissi, plenty of azalea and a few glimpses here and there of forsythia, but our maples remain unleafed and I haven't seen any violets, feral or otherwise. Enjoy your walk!
