What a sweet, sad story, my dear! It touched me deeply. Perfect for Halloween.

I'll try and get your entry up on my LJ today but posting issues, I haz them! So if it's tomorrow I'll make sure to let people know you got this in by deadline. :)

I'm really glad that it touched you so much. This Halloween was a little more somber than usual in my house, I think my writing reflected that. I'm hoping to go back later and expand the story out a bit. I couldn't think of how to do it when I was writing it, but bunnies are growing.

Thanks for getting it up in the post! I know how posting issues are, so I never blame anybody for them, but you got it up in time any way.

Ouch. Eerie, sad and unexpectedly sweet. The love of the departed is achingly clear here and very touching. I'm glad that at least Alfred is able to sense when he's being visited.

Wonderful work!

I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for commenting. I think that Alfred is just one of those people with a sixth sense. He's always so calm while observing everything that I think he would sense his visitors but never act like anything truly strange was going on. He'll just walk around talking, seemingly to himself, but in his heart he knows the truth. I picture him chatting while dusting the manor or the Batcave.

Heartbreaking, but oh so good, deep, and true! Perfectly done!

I'd be sorry it was heartbreaking, but that's what I was going for... so sorry I intentionally broke your heart :) I'm glad that you enjoyed it though and thank you so much.
