The BBC Has Taken Over My Life.

Some random thoughts on what I've been watching lately...

Orphan Black... One of the best shows on right now, I can't believe Orphan Black isn't wildly popular. It has everything: an incredible female lead, a wonderful supporting cast, intriguing plot, fast-paced developments, snappy dialogue... True, I could've done without the S2 casting of ( Read more... )

Oh My God! It's you!! ((hugs)))

I know, I know of I've been AWOL too. busy busy and when to busy busy re-reading Harry Potter, it's a thing.

I tried Orphan Black but I had to turn it off during episode one when she drank hand soap. On your recommendation I'll give it another shot.

Who is Michelle Forbes? (I is ignorant)

I've liked Peter Capaldi since he was in a little 80's movie Called Local Hero with Peter Reigert, Ewan Mcgregors uncle and Burt Lancaster. (he's the one who falls in love with the mermaid)

I've recently decided that, if I'm going to be unfocused and unproductive, I might as well be doing it while on LJ.

I've been wondering where you were but didn't want to bother you, or to be a hypocrite, since I'm the last person who should complain about such things. (That being said however, I'm very glad to see you poke your head in!)

Okay... I have to admit, I too have my qualms about that scene, namely that I think drinking that much hand soap would probably result in a more violent reaction than the one she had BUT I've overlooked much bigger problems with disbelief in other shows. (Please see seasons 5-7 of House for more details.) Seriously, the show is SO GOOD, and Tatiana Maslany is a fucking revelation. I really, really, reaaaallly appreciate that you're going to give it another shot. Not only do I think you'll actually enjoy it, but also I very selfishly just want someone to discuss the show with ( ... )

The only way Capaldi could've been a better choice for the Doctor would be if he'd been born a ginger.
Wait, would that even still show? He is pretty grey by now... with a strong emphasis on pretty... at least ion some of the promo shots I've seen! Nevermind, of course I totally agree with the general notion that there is something about gingers...

Sherlock... Hey, Martin Freeman, WHY U SO ODDLY ATTRACTIVE?!?
Lol, I've had this discussion with a couple of fans already. It amuses me greatly that my own stance on his attractiveness actually keeps wavering. There are days I don't see it at all and then there are days... well, let's not get into detail here. ;)

Also, on a more general note, I think there are worse things to take over your life than the BBC. A+ life choice, that! :)
