So, granted, not ideal... but what do we all think of Capitol Hill-ish? I found a location online that is just south of the Arboretum that appeared decent. (The bus ride wouldn't be anything amazing though.) What about Phinney and Green Lake/Greenwood? I'm just worried that Northgate is too far north. Capitol Hill-ish: lots to do. Requires two bus' to get to Starbucks and just about anywhere else though.

Phinney/Greenwood: cool neighborhood, good for walking around. However, you're likely going to have to either walk about a mile to catch a single bus, or catch two bus' to get to Starbucks

Northgate: Cheap to live in. Kind of seedy in most places. You would have to ride the 358, which is renowned for being THE worst bus in the Metro system.

West Seattle: At first I didn't like it, but it has grown on me. Except that now we live on an inconvenient busline, but that's not a problem for everyone here.

Queen Anne: This and Fremont are my favorite neighborhoods in Seattle. However, they are also very expensive to live in.

Wallingford and Fremont: See above.
