Many have conjectured he'd have been a better Peter than Tobes.
All that's confirmed is that Topher is in the cast, not what role, but everybody's sayin' it'll be Eddie. But I agree, Eddie's a hothead musclebound Imbucile and Topher ain't. Heck, Ashton's more qualified to play Brock than Topher is. Then again, it's not like their choice for Doc O went without "WTF" responses, and it went okay - great, even. Still gonna watch. And you know you are too.
That's really really really really old news, kevbo. Seriously. lol. And that chick from the village is going to be stacy whats her face. I think it's a stacy. :-) Poor mj.
Topher is Brock, the guy from Sideways (not paul giamatti, the other one) is the sandman, and the chick from the village is Gwen Stacey (i knew i'd think of her name!).
And seriously, this was news six months ago. Jeez. I thought you guys were the comic book nerds :-p
"Attached" doesn't mean he HAS the part. What's more, the official site has said nothing aside from that he's been cast in the film. Any actual attachment to the part is currently not much more than fan speculation. Don't go acting as if the fact is set in stone when the official announcements confirm nothing.
What's more, R.C. Everbeck already did the role of Eddie Brock in the first Spiderman.
