Awwwwww. It's probably a sign that I've read your fics so long that I find it ULTIMATE ROMANTIC SENTIMENT. Though, Zoro is probably going to make Sanji quit smoking eventually and end up making illogical statements to wave off Sanji's worries like, "I am going to LIVE. FOREVER. THEN."

I also love the fact that Sanji said "self defense." I don't know why - I mean, I was expecting the 'because I'll be trying to kill him' bit, but... **shrugs**

I don't think Zoro would try to sugar-coat it, not for this version of Sanji.

I think the 'self-defence' works because it's flippant and a tad condescending, it puts that future adversary in his place already. I think. I don't actually plan this stuff out when I write ^_^; It just happens. But I knew 'self-defence' worked better than the straight sentence, because I tried both extensively. I obsess way too much over my fics...
