The weirdest subtitling I ever saw was in Battle Royale. It wasn't that it was the worst, exactly...it's just that for 90 minutes everything made sense, and then there's just one scene...between the headmaster and his daughter...that has the clunky poor translation. Then it goes back to standard, easy-to-understand English again for the last few minutes.

Goofy.
