The show "Shark" is pretty good. I never thought I'd like it, but it's the only thing on so I'm watching it, and I'm pretty impressed. I still don't like it as much as Cold Case and Without a Trace, but I'm entertained ( Read more... )

We love Pan' Labyrinth, my husband and I. He fussed at first when he saw the subtitle, but quickly became quite as the story progressed.

I loved it so much. You should check out The Devil's Backbone if you liked Pan's Labyrinth, it's del Toro's other epic fantasy set in world war II.

I plan on it, but I just now finished watching 'Apocalypse Now'. Ye gods I am behind the times.

That's a good movie. One of my favorite Vietnam era themed films I was obsessed with when I was a teen.

Beware Dead Silence, quake in fear
There are no scares to be found here
Only plotholes, boredom, pain
To find a point you'll try in vain
Until the film drives you insane

I loved Behind the Mask. Excellent movie and is sure to become a staple in my collection.

Going To Pieces rocked too. Can't beat a documentary about slasher flicks IMO.

I had a slasher orgasm this weekend. Got to watch Behind the Mask, Going to Pieces, AND Blood Trails which if you haven't seen it is an excellent little slasher. It proves to me that the slasher is alive and well and can still be made and made well with talent and style.

I was shocked at how good it is. It's got low film quality because it only cost like $1 million to make, but the acting is great, the gore is great, and it really blew me away.
