...I think you've convinced me.

But I'm NOT BUYING A DVD SET!

I am convinced that the only way to work for the good in this world is to adopt an attitude of absolute fatalism--that is, to know that no matter how hard you fight, no matter your sacrifices, you will still make little to no positive change in the world; but to continue to fight anyway, because there is no better thing to do. Olivia is my hero.

Which reminds me, probably my favorite episode is when someone is stalking Olivia, and they find out it is a fellow she had put into prison who turned out to be innocent; a fellow who was raped repeatedly in prison, and came out looking for revenge. How can a heart stand it, to see such a horrible failure, a horrendous wrong at one's own hands? Good TV.

That's probably one of my LEAST favorite episodes and one of the reasons why it was so hard for me to get into the show in the first place, mostly because Stabler is such an idiot in it (hey, my partner is being stalked, I'll order a surveilence detail for her and NOT TELL HER ABOUT IT).

But there are always bright and vrighter spots in Dick Wolf shows...whatever you think about the man and his franchises, you gotta admit, he has balls. I even saw two episodes of Criminal Intent that I loved, and I thought that was a statistical impossibility.

Anyway, there's another set of dialogue that I want to post badly, but it gives away the ending of an episode so I can't.
