Title: lol date (I'm bad at titles.) Characters: Kate Austen and William Birkin Location: Outside Rating: PG-13 Summary: William takes Kate out on a date, as promised. Day/Time: Day 96 / Mid afternoon
Kate had spent the morning trying to figure out what to wear. She felt like such a girl, but at the same time it felt good. Her final choice was a sweet dress and a pair of matching flats. She fixed her hair, allowing it to remain curly. She checked her appearance one last time before heading out the door of her room and to the entrance of the gardens.
It didn't take long before she got there and spied William standing in the doorway, his back to her. Her stomach flipped, the butterflies fluttering inside. She couldn't help but smile, amused with herself and her reaction to William. She picked up her pace and closed the distance between them.
Williams voice got caught in his throat for a moment. She was beautiful, as always. For some reason he couldn't get over how beautiful she was. So he stood there like a dumbass, gaping ever so slightly. He turned beat red when he realized he had been staring for too long.
"Kate... I.. wow... you look stunning." William coughed out.
She swelled with pride and yet she had to try her best to hold back a burst of nervous laughter as he gaped at her. It was the reaction she had been hoping for and much more. The blush colored her cheeks a matching pale shade of red, which complimented his own quite nicely. She leaned over and gave him a quick peck on the lips, resisting her urge to kiss him silly. She had resigned to behave today, to let him call the shots, not wanting to scare him away.
"You don't look too shabby yourself." She beamed at him. Of course, he always looked handsome to her, but he cleaned up very well. And he looked especially dashing today.
"Thanks." He said, looking away. He held out an arm in offering for her as he held open the door. He couldn't arrange food for them, but at least they were going to get to go outside today. He could officially say that someone loved him a lot to do this for him.
