Dani arrived later than she expected. Mostly because the nurses insisted on her making sure she was clean. Burns, after all, were more prone to infection so anyone visiting had to be properly attired. It was annoying, but Dani did want to see her 'brother.'

So she put on the recommended scrubs and went into the ICU room, holding up a hand in a wave. "Hey Danny."

Finally, the wait ended, and the singular tick-tock noise of the clock in the room was overpowered by the sound of Dani entering the room. He gave her a slight smile, and lifted his arm as far as he could without hurting himself, giving her a small wave.

"Hey Dani," he replied. "Nice outfit."

"Meh, could be worse." Dani said with shrug as she walked over, sitting at the chair by his bed. "They're worried about infections and stuff."

"I guess," he said nervously, feeling the spot where he had once picked at his burns itching. He had to resist the urge, though, because the wound had already been patched up...opening it again was definitely not a good idea.

"So what did you come for?" he asked.
