i will NEVER understand why it's ok to not do the job you trained for and chose because of your own moral beliefs. you know as a pharmacist that you will have women who want birth control.

either do it or quit your damn job.

that was a great example!

i'm a social worker and i work with people with severe mental illness. so many of them make choices or say things that i firmly disagree wtih but it's not my place to intervene or tell them it's wrong. the whole model in social work right now is "recovery" which is basically "let the client make their own choices even if you think it's a mistake."

why does this concept not apply to all positions??!

I tried to have a conversation with some friends yesterday about how I don't think it's right for medical professionals to be allowed to deny medication and procedures based on their personal beliefs. None of them agreed with me, which I thought was strange.

And this makes it legal to even deny INFORMATION to women about their options. This assholes are SO SO afraid of feminine sexuality that they have to fucking LIE and MISLEAD women in dire straits who have come to them for help, instead of providing them with information and letting them have a say in their treatment.
