My Goodness

That must have taken your breath away!

It's on my list of must-sees before I die

it was incredible to see it in person. though it was pretty scary at times too! my fear of heights kept me from getting some of the shots i really wanted. oh well...

Yeah,

I read about a month ago how a lady climbed over the barrier there to get a shot and plummeted 500 feet to her death in front of her husband!

Better to be safe than sorry

yeah, when we were there, the tour guide told us that 12 people already this year have died from falling over the edge! there are signs and guard rails all over the place, but everywhere i went, there was always someone climbing over the railing or going beyond points of danger. it's insane!! i saw one man with his daughter, about 4-6 years old, hiking along the edge of these narrow trails with his daughter on the outside of him! and his daughter was wearing flip flops! i couldn't believe it.

it's really beautiful. next time, i want to do the whole river and tent thing at the bottom. we hiked as much as we could, but to hike to the bottom, you have to get a permit and be prepared to spend three days going down and back up. i just didn't have enough time to absorb all of it!
