My life as a nerd is complete. I just spent the last hour and a half playing Quidditch on a field in front of the school library with an alarmingly awesome amount of people. Who knew the sport was so popular?

Slytherin vs. Ravenclaw, people, and my team won both times :D

For anyone interested in the mechanics of "Muggle" Quidditch:

WTF WTF WTF THAT IS THE MOST AMAZING THING I HAVE EVER HEARD OF. Once again I wish I knew how to throw a ball so I could play that game someday! You college kids are so creative.
Congratulations on winning! Did you feel their blood on your hands? TONIGHT?

That sounds like a lot of fun. And freaking hilarious. I, of course, had an animated movie going on in my mind to fit your descriptions.
Oh, I know how you feel. I'm SO ready for this semester to be over. I just finished correcting every paper my boyfriend wrote this semester, and combined with my own work, it's so much that my eyes are ping-pong balls of gooey pain.

And, just between us, his writing gives me a headache. Great guy -- can't write a paper to save his life.

But. Its almost over. I just -- don't care. One day of class left and then exams and then DONE.

How about you? How's your end-of-the-semester apathy going?

I'm -- okay. I did a lot of acting/teching at a community theatre (Theatre Southwest) last semester and my grades fell like, to hell, so my parents were like "NO theatre for you the rest of the year!" Which was probably okay, except I got a call about a week ago from a director basically handing me a part and I couldn't take it because I have night classes -- AGH.
I will be so glad when this is over. I think, next year, I may just be working and doing the acting thing. My step-mom advises against it, but, I don't know. >_<
It all revolves around health insurance, unfortunately. Because The US is stupid (maybe it's just the insurance company, I dunno) and won't let me be covered by my dad unless I'm a full time student. And the going rate for health insurance would be $600 a month for me and, frankly, I just don't want to do that. I mean, I will have to at some point, but not right now.
So, yeah. I'm doing okay. Could be worse.
When do you come down to Houston?

NEXT WEEK!!

But I hear what you're saying -- that's a tough decision. Though, if you want my opinion, I think you should get whatever you can out of college while you can. Even if you don't get straight A's (I certainly don't!) you still learn something, and I refuse to believe that that's wasted time :)

I hope everything works out for you -- and just hang in there girl!!! I think you is awesome!!!
