After spending an hour and a half herding costumed kids around our campus, eating approx. 1/2 cup of spaghetti w/sauce for supper, bringing emergency CD player and scary music to ED for Honors Program carnival booth, going to the in-laws' to show off our kid, and then back to campus to let LBG visit the carnival booths (the horse/pony rides win ( Read more... )

Sometimes we get so caught up in our own pain, doubled over, stumbling, we forget to see those around us. Doubled up, stumbling, they too are in pain. And if we could just reach out one hand for a moment, a touch, grasp, steady, maybe we could hold each other up.

Some days you're the bug.

I feel so stupid right now. Taking Statistics is severely taxing my brain and my free time. Plus I don't have access to the resources other traditional students might have - going to tutoring center between classes, for example.
Having a little pity party over here. Someone hand me a hat.

With my memory of childhood being what it is, I'll probably never know how much my reading of YA fantasy made me more the person I am, and less the asshole that my father is.

That being said, this is a crying shame.
