Midna's a cinnamon. We've had her almost three years now, and she's our darling. Green cheeks are amazeballs.

Awww, cute! And green cheeks are super amazing. I actually went into the store to ask about finches and spotted the turquoises. I expected them to explain how much work a parrot is and then I could be like "yep, that impulse is over, thanks!"

Then... I did more research waiting for "yo this is way too much work" to happen. It did not, because GCCs are not cockatoos or macaws. Plus, I apparently got an extraordinarily amiable and hand tame one, so while she might fuss, she's pretty much game for anything.

AMAZING.

(Though NGL I'm terrified of the stats that're like "most GCCs die prematurely due to preventable causes of owner neglect." Like, ack, are my cleaners too harsh, should I let her chew that thing or will it poison her, etc.)
