I think I'm just going to machine hem everything on the Lost Hope fairy. I finished the edges of the chiffon sleeves with a zig-zag stitch which gave a really interesting sort of faux picot hem with little fraying bits. I like how it looks, so I'm being lazy and leaving it as-is instead of turning up the edge to hem. I wonder if this new-ish

Finished off the Lost Hope fairy last night! :) I also conveniently found a hem stitch on the machine so it's a less conspicuous machine hem than otherwise.

I was just noticing that about Regency stays the other night. If you don't want to unlace them, it's a bit interesting getting into and out of them.

I think it will always involve a lot of contortions. It probably doesn't help that I cut my lace too short to leave it loosely laced.
