Long day

Whew! I'm tired out. I had a long day today. This is the weekend of Doors Open, when a bunch of historic sites around the city are open to the public for free tours. Places like the Legislative Buildings and the Lieutenant Governor's house, but also other random houses (and a jail!) that have been converted to offices and things. It sounds like Costume Museum lady is one of those people with the idea that everyone tight-laced in The Olden Days. XP

Yeah, or at least a lack of understanding about the general trend for museum pieces to be smaller ones. ;p

I thought Winnipeg's Living History group did mostly Regency. I'll have to ask you more about that...
I was also wondering about the 1880's dresses while dressing and undressing the mannequins...especially since some of them were left at the house to be displayed in rooms. I've soothed my mind by saying that middle class Winnipegers wouldn't be dressed in the latest fashions from France....Didn't help much as the MacDonald's would be more upper class....sigh. I don't get it.
