Nice story. I really liked the idea of River coming to Mal’s aid in his nights of dark introspection. I also thought River sitting and quoting probability in her odd but still comforting way was very in character. And I liked that River doesn’t have to sleep as long as everyone else, so it’s just her and her captain on the bridge at night.

Thanks sweetie. I had been having problems with Mal's darker side in my head of late and this came out and made it more clear for me.

So glad that it's in character and it flows, that is sometimes so hard to get, but when it just flows out of you it usually is spot on for some reason.

Ah, I saw this on Fanfiction.net but I've just now gotten to going back and reviewing everything. Time is slowly going in my favor!

I love how River's gone all morbidly intellectual on a brooding Mal. It's oddly amusing and yet strangely satisfying.

I promise I'll go back and review this on FF.NET. I'll have more to say then.
