This was a refreshing change as to how the Mal/River relationship came to be. The emotional situation was handled nicely and without detracting from the main theme of romance. Mighty convenient to kill off Simon ;D no need for permission or sibling rivalry. I read this a few days ago, so the angst and teary eyes have dried up, otherwise I wouldn't be quite so glib about it all. Bravo, I say!
