In this part, you've done exactly what they did on the series -- going from humor to angst at the drop of a hat. Loved, loved, loved River with Simon and Kaylee at the beginning. I could totally hear the exchanges in my head. And I love that you had River ask Mal about that line in the movie. They're going to have to work through that, for sure. Can't wait to see more!

I'm very glad to hear that the Simon and Kaylee section worked out right. I wasn't sure they were as believable there as I would have liked, and I tweaked that bit a couple of times. Anyway, glad to hear you enjoyed it!
