Whoa. I read that line, specifically the last part, and went "dude. I have to leave feedback." *g*

So, I love several of the concepts you incorporated here, and I *really* love a well incorporated concept. I'm impressed by how you effectively communicated River's confusion with her own emotions and how they affect her, how they connected to the ship, the "unromantic view" of Mal's shirt *g*, evoking the movie's theme with "you don't believe," and River going after Mal, demanding a promise, then giving it time --and through it all you escaped the cliches. Well done!
