Some asking around had yielded results, in that Cloud now knew where Lily lived. He wasn't going to stalk her or anything. He was just going to ask her on a date

Lily had come to the door unexpecting. It wasn't as if she had a whole lot of people stop in to see her, but having not seen Cloud since the afternoon he'd asked her on the date to begin with, it wasn't as if she'd had any way of knowing when he would show up. Still, when she saw him standing there, she grinned, and the smile only widened when she saw the look on his face.
"Hey," she said warmly, opening the door more and stepping aside. "Come on in, if you want." She hadn't meant it as a serious invitation to anything, just acted on the assumption that he was going to ask her for that date, and it would've been awkward to talk at a doorway.
Lily had a feeling that she probably wasn't supposed to find the look on his face endearing, but she did anyway. At least she wasn't the only one worried. With as long as it'd been since she'd done anything remotely close to dating with anyone but Jason, this was unfamiliar territory for her. She liked him, though. The time since she'd last seen him had only assured her of that.
"Yeah," she answered, biting back a grin, shifting her weight where she stood several feet in front of him. "It is. There's not really much to do around here, though, if you want to go somewhere else for a while." Probably it would've been awkward to hang around there, anyway.
"I was thinking...the waterfall," he suggested. "It's peaceful there." It reminded him of Aeris's church, though Aeris's church had turned into everybody's church eventually. He caught himself rubbing his arm, just above the red ribbon tied around it, and dropped his hand a little self-consciously, looking expectantly at Lily.
