Snow teaching Serah to fight. Snow teaching Serah to fight. How do you consistently manage to write everything I want the most in this fandom, and write it perfectly? And that Snow&Lightning drabble and the Cloud/Zack/Sephiroth both completely broke me. Perfect.
Ahaha, you know? Snow/Serah is still a pairing I'm still trying to catch my bearings with. It wasn't one I appreciated much later until it occurred to me that a girl who grew up with Lightning? Wouldn't really need protecting. Not in the way Snow kept swearing to protect her. Once I started really thinking about it from the context of 'how does Snow make a believer out of Serah?' it all sort of clicked for me.
(And, you know, Serah can be a Sentinel. That is so cool. And Snow would so love teaching Serah his favorite move of all time. :) )
Gods, the Snow&Light one was rough. I've always kind of wondered 'what if Serah and Dajh were really shattered?' and I think it's an idea I really need to explore.
I'm so glad the Cloud/Zack/Sephiroth one worked, XD I've never written it before, and can count on one hand how many I've read that I've enjoyed. So. Yeah. I was a bit nervous.
The funny thing is that it never occurred to me until now that Snow would have thought about protecting her at all up until the suddenly-the-mark-of-the-devil thing. But yeah, there's definitely a lot to think about in terms of balance.
(Wait, do we have that confirmed from the second? Oh man, that might sell me. It's silly, but just the idea of the tiny little ninety-pound-soaking-wet cutie standing and taking a massive blast to the face without flinching - SO AWESOME, I want to play something that'll let me do that.)
And what's your typical issues with Cloud/Zack/Sephiroth? OOC?
I don't know, I thought the Hero thing was, I dunno, a thing for them? It just came so easily from her mouth when she saw him again just before being crystallized, I just kind of assumed that he'd been promising to take care of her for way longer than thirteen days?
(I think some of the screenshots very clearly showed her as a sentinel... I'll doublecheck...)
I tend to read more gen than I read anything else, and yeah, a lot of it's OOC, and I really prefer Zack/Cloud/Aeris, I guess?
