Title: Confess your love to me
Prompt: #47
Rating: NC-17
Length: ~15600 words
Summary: The class trip was so not what Sehun signed up for.
Warning(s): Alcohol usage, unprotected sex, Jongdae
Notes: This ended up being way longer I thought I was even capable of writing. I tried to follow the prompt the best I could but I think this is not exactly what it was supposed to be, but oh well, I hope you all enjoy! Also a special thanks for my beta for proofreading this mess.
The whole classroom was hushed. The tension was thick in the air, and there were restless feet shuffling against the floor when everyone tried their best to keep quiet and wait patiently till the the teacher was done with his task. Someone made a distressed noise when the chalk clacked against the blackboard, spelling out the last sentence. On the board, there were four clear rules written that everyone must follow during their trip.
“Submit the agreement handouts to the class representative who will bring them to me. You have time till tomorrow. Remember, without it, there’s no going on the trip,” the teacher turned around to say, and as soon as he put the chalk down, the class bursted into a heated discussion about the trip. There was only one day left until they had to be at the airport at 4am, to wait their flight to board.
Sehun thrummed his nails on the surface of the table, eyes glued to the blackboard when the person sitting in front of him turned around with a huge grin on his face.
“Isn’t this exciting? We’re basically leaving tomorrow,” Jongin exclaimed excitedly and Sehun gave a soft hum in response. Suddenly there were another pair of hands slammed against his desk.
“Totally, but what kind of bullshit is this?” Jongdae huffed, pointing angrily at the printout he had just put on the desk. The idea was to get their parents sign an agreement to pay their flight back if they had to be sent back home in middle the trip for breaking the rules.
“I’m already full age, why do I need a stupid consent from my parents,” he groaned while crouching down so his cheek was flat against the desk top. Sehun patted his hair affectionately while Jongin laughed.
“It’s not such a big deal, just ask your mom nicely and promise you’ll act properly there,” Jongin said and Jongdae gave him a helpless gaze.
“I wish it were that simple,” he sighed. “But my mom already refused to sign it.”
“Isn’t it a bit alarming that even your mom doesn’t think you’ll behave,” Sehun asked, cheeky grin on his face and Jongdae swatted him on the thigh, drawing a yelp out of the boy. Jongin laughed at both of them and Sehun's cheeks tinted up just a little bit pinker.
They chatted for a while after that while packing up their things, Jongin and Jongdae leaving first to catch their bus, Sehun remaining in the classroom since he had to cycle home. He zipped up his backpack with a sigh on hips lips, lifting a worrying gaze towards the blackboard to look at the rules one last time.
RULES:
1. Always follow your teacher’s orders
2. Don’t go anywhere alone
3. Do not use drugs of any kind
4. No sexual activity, it's a school trip
5. No drinking alcohol
If you fail to follow these rules, in the worst case you can be sent back home.
He stood there staring at them, wondering if the class trip would go entirely without problems. None of them were underage and he knew for a fact that his friends were the kind of people who liked to drink a lot, and they would not miss an opportunity like this. They were going to another country, after all. What would that be without a little fun and alcohol?
Sehun jerked awake from his thoughts when a hand landed on his shoulder, someone taller than him coming to stand on his side.
"What's up," Chanyeol asked and Sehun absentmindedly waved his hand to the direction of the blackboard.
"I'm not sure our class can actually follow these rules. I don't want to be thrown out from the trip... I don't want anyone to be thrown out from the trip," especially Jongin he thought, but left that bit to himself. "We should at least try."
"Come on, where's the fun in that?" Chanyeol said and gave him a huge, lopsided grin and Sehun just scoffed in response. Chanyeol was one of the biggest party animals in their circle of friends, and that made Sehun even more anxious. His friends were born to cause trouble. But he couldn’t really complain because since high school started and Sehun got to know most of them, his life was spiced up a ton and that was actually a good thing.
"I don't know," Sehun sighed, lifting his backpack on his shoulder.
“It’ll be fine!” Chanyeol reassured him with a forceful pat on his back, knocking the air out of his lungs.
“Yeah,” Sehun wheezed in return, not really believing nor convincing himself.

“How much stuff are you even gonna bring?” Jongin asked, while peeking into Sehun’s suitcase which was almost full. “Jesus fucking christ,” he muttered and dived into it.
“Don’t touch anything!” Sehun yelled from the bathroom, alarmed by the rustling noises. When he got no answer, he worriedly peeked into his room from the doorway.
“Do you really need this with you?” Jongin asked as he held up a flat iron and Sehun blushed a little, stomping to where Jongin was sitting on the floor. He snatched the iron from his hands and put it on his neatly made bed, but when he turned around Jongin was holding up something even worse.
“Well these are interesting,” Jongin said while he held up a pair of pink boxers. Sehun flushed bright red and grabbed the item off of Jongin’s grip.
“Shut up! I’ve seen you wear pink ones too,” Sehun was incredibly embarrassed as he tucked the piece of clothing back into his drawer. He knew it would be a mistake to pack it in the suitcase.
“But mine don’t say booty on the back,” Jongin cackled and Sehun hit him on the top of his head.
“I got them from your sister!”
“Oh, right,” Jongin realized and fell backwards, back hitting the floor, as he couldn’t keep his laughter in. Sehun swore under his breath to kill his best friend one day.
In the end, Sehun got his suitcase packed up (the boxers made their way in it anyway) and they were lying on his bed, side to side, staring at the ceiling. They had stayed like that already for half an hour, occasionally talking but mostly just staying silent. They were both nervous and excited about the trip and Sehun wasn’t even sure he could catch any sleep during the night, and he knew his best friend well enough to know that he was just the same.
Sehun was fiddling with the corner on his blanket, when Jongin turned on his side, propping his hand under his head to keep his head up steadily and gazed at Sehun. The latter turned to look at him too, blushing a little at the proximity but being close was nothing new to them so it didn’t seem to affect Jongin at all. Sehun silently wished it did, at least a little.
Jongin seemed to hesitate before opening his mouth.
“You’ll room with me, right?” he asked with a quiet voice and Sehun’s heart melted a little.
“Of course I will, you idiot. We’re best friends, right? You shouldn’t even have to ask,” Sehun answered with a little laugh and Jongin gave him a soft smile, leaving him just a little flustered. Jongin laid back down on the bed and Sehun was glad, because now he could breathe a little better again when his best friend wasn’t staring at him.
“Just had to make sure you didn’t want to, you know, sneak a room with some girl or something,” Jongin chuckled a little and Sehun felt a pang in his heart.
“Highly unlikely,” he said truthfully and Jongin just hummed in response. Sehun wasn’t sure if it was a good thing Jongin still thought he was straight, or not interested in anyone at all since he had never dated and never showed interest towards anyone, but he kept it that way anyway. It made it easier for him to hide his feelings towards his best friend. There was absolutely no way he would ever let Jongin know, they had been friends for so long, Sehun didn’t want to lose that. He had loved him secretly for many years already, he would continue to do it as long as possible. Jongin was too important for him to lose since they had been together basically since they were in the 6th grade.
More silence followed after that and Sehun was so deep in his thoughts he didn’t notice Jongin sitting up until the other started stretching his hand and yawned loudly. Jongin turned to look at him with sleepy eyes and Sehun wondered if he had actually fallen asleep for a second on his bed.
“Should probably go home now so I can get up in time tomorrow,” Jongin said and Sehun nodded, not moving from his spot. He was tired too and he was already on his bed, he could just try to sleep once Jongin left. He closed his eyes, expecting for Jongin to get up and leave his room, but he felt a pat on his hand instead.
“I’m really glad I get to go to the trip with you,” Jongin said with an affectionate smile on his face and Sehun felt like his heart stopped abruptly just to continue pumping three times quicker. He was too flustered to even give Jongin a reply but the latter didn’t seem to mind and just got up from the bed.
“Anyways, gotta go. See you tomorrow, Sehun!” he left with a wave of his hand, switching the lights off from Sehun’s room and closed the door behind him, leaving Sehun alone in his room to deal with all the emotions he didn’t even know he caused.
☆
Sehun didn't get much sleep that night because of the wind whirl of emotions he had to go through because his best friend was a clueless idiot and because he was so nervous about if he would wake up in time. Luckily his mom was there to get him up because he needed a lift to the airport where he was supposed to meet with his classmates.
As he loaded his luggage out of the car he saw a bunch of his friends had already arrived there. It was four in the morning and they all looked tired except for Jongdae who seemed to always be hyped up and energetic. Sehun shook his head in amusement as Jongdae seemed to be blabbering everyone's ears off and none of them were morning people so the annoyment was clear. Even Jongin had arrived already, sitting on a bench with their other friends, forehead pressed against his suitcase as if he was trying to sleep.
After giving his mom a hug and reassuring that he was going to be alright, he wouldn't do anything stupid, yes he would eat enough, he was able to head towards his group of friends. He greeted them loudly from afar and Jongin's head perked up immediately after hearing his voice and that made Sehun feel oddly happy. His friend broke into a genuine smile and Sehun rewarded him with one of his. At times like these Sehun wondered what it would feel like if they were actually dating. Would Jongin get up to hug him, possibly press a tender kiss against his lips? He brushed the thoughts off of his mind immediately. The trip could turn into an uncomfortable nightmare if he let those kind of thoughts invade his mind. They were going to be together 24/7 after all.
"Sehun!" Jongin said as enthusiastically as he could in the sleepy state he was and Sehun just patted his head, sitting down right next to him. Jongin sighed happily, content with the touch and leaned his head on his best friend's shoulder, and this was a very typical act of a sleepy Jongin but it still made Sehun smile a little by himself. They had a two hour wait ahead of them and to be honest, Sehun didn't mind if he would have to lend his shoulder to Jongin the whole time.
They all just mostly slept at the airport, too tired to socialize since the wake up had been so early, and soon it was time to get on the plane. A few girls in their class were really scared of flying and the teachers were calming them during the take off, and Sehun could swear he saw a few panicked tears roll down Baekhyun's cheeks as the latter gripped on Chanyeol's hand, knuckles white like his life depended on it.
Sehun smiled fondly at his best friend who was sitting next to a window and enthusiastically pointing at things outside. Jongin was like a little puppy when he got excited and he was so endearing Sehun just wanted to hug him forever.
☆
“Ugh, I’m so exhausted,” Jongin groaned as he flopped down on the bed in their shared apartment. They had been in luck since one of their classmates had some connections, so they got a few apartments rented from an apartment building turned into property apartments. They were all different because they were owned by different people, and by some luck Jongin and Sehun got one with only one double bed, so they stayed at the apartment together, just the two of them. Just above them was an apartment with two bunk beds where some of their friends were staying so it was easy to visit each other. Everything worked out better than Sehun would have even imagined.
"We're pretty lucky," Sehun said, sitting down next to Jongin who was now lying face flat against a pillow. "These apartments are really nice and the teachers are pretty far away. I don't have to worry so much about you guys getting in trouble."
Jongin turned his head so he was looking at Sehun and there was a lopsided, mischievous smirk on his face.
"Don't worry about us getting into trouble," Jongin stated, and just when Sehun was about to sigh in relief, he added: "we're good at hiding stuff and I can be really persuasive when I need to."
Tell me about it, Sehun thought to himself, recalling the stupid shit he had gotten himself into just because of Jongin throughout the years. Sehun rolled his eyes and got up from the bed, leaving a laughing Jongin alone in the room.
The teachers trusted them enough to let them freely walk outside and go to the store (which was a miracle) and when the other guys heard it, they immediately started planning for a beach party. Since it was pretty late already, they had been dismissed from school stuff for the day and the next day was mostly free time too, so everyone - except for Sehun - thought it was a great opportunity to celebrate their successful arrival. To their dismay, there was only a little store close by which didn't sell a lot of alcohol, but they emptied the shelves from breezer bottles and sangria.
Some of them picked some pretty weird looking boozes but who was Sehun to judge, he knew nothing about them. It wasn’t like he’d end up drinking them anyway.
Sehun changed into more comfortable clothes and went to the room to pick up his jacket just in case it was going to be cold since there was no sun on the sky and Jongin perked his head up from the bed. Sehun made his way out of the door and he could hear Jongin scramble up from the bed.
"Hey! Where are you going? Wait for me."
“Yeah, yeah, hurry the fuck up.”
“Took you long enough!” Sehun snapped his head up from the bag he had been going through in order to find some drinkable alcohol. He flipped Jongdae the finger and turned back to his task, complaining about the lack of decent drinks under his breath. He didn’t even drink that often, but all of the drinks were kind of foreign for him and he wasn’t a fan of alcohol anyway. Jongin on the other hand was ecstatic, grabbing the first bottle his hand touched.
“Just drink whatever, you won’t even taste it when you get drunk enough,” Jongin told him and Sehun scoffed.
“I don’t want to get shit faced, unlike some.”
“Hey, there’s nothing wrong with drinking! It’s good to let go a little from time to time,” Jongin lifted his hands up in defense, splashing a little alcohol on his hands from the bottle. If he was already this clumsy Sehun could only imagine what he would have to put up with when he got drunk. “You need to loosen up a bit too, mister uptight.”
“I’m as relaxed as I can be with you morons,” Sehun sighed. “Besides, don’t you think this beach is a bit too close to the building? What if the teachers wake up and go check our rooms? Do we really have to do this on the first night?”
“There’s nothing to worry about! We know what we are doing!”
“Yeah? Like that time during last summer when Jongdae covered your ass when the police came?”
“That was different, we were seventeen. Now it’s legal for us to drink!”
“But the rules clearly said no drinking!”
“But where’s the fun in that? I didn’t come to another country just to look at the sights!”
“But drinking until you pass out and can’t remember anything is a good idea?”
“God, Sehun, why you gotta be such a killjoy.”
“I just don’t want to get into trouble!”
“Stop bickering and fucking drink,” Chanyeol roared from afar where all of their friends were already sitting in a circle on the sand. Jongin shouted yes sir and smirked at Sehun before sprinting towards their friends. The latter couldn’t help but follow him, because really, there was nothing he could actually do about it. He might as well drink with them. There was no use being on the trip without his friends, so if his friends were to get into trouble, Sehun should be there as well.
He sat down between Chanyeol and Baekhyun, since Jaeyeon hurried to the vacant spot next to Jongin as soon as the tanned male had planted his ass on the ground. It was clear to everyone that Jaeyeon was sporting a huge crush on Jongin, but Jongin, as always (especially in Sehun’s case), was too dense to notice anything. Sometimes Sehun wondered if he was just stupid or ignored her on purpose. Or if he knew about Sehun’s feelings for him and decided to ignore them as well.
Now is not the time to think about stupid things. Sehun realized he had zoned off for a bit and it looked like Jongdae was placing an empty glass bottle on a piece of cardboard in the middle of the ring.
“Gotta make sure it spins well,” Jongdae mused to himself and Sehun’s eyes widened in horror.
“I’m too sober for this shit,” Sehun whimpered and Chanyeol laughed at him and showed a bottle of what looked like liquor to his hand. Sehun looked back at him in disgust.
"Just drink it, quickly," Chanyeol said, nudging Sehun's hand up to his face. The latter looked at the game setup and then at the liquor bottle. Shrugging his shoulders he lifted the bottle to his lips and drank it like it was water, only to grimace and start coughing because of the burn.
"What is this shit?" He asked, voice hoarse, and gave Chanyeol a judging look.
"Doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that it's strong," Chanyeol said with a wink and attempted to take the bottle back but Sehun moved his arm away. He downed a little more of the lime green liquid, screwing his eyes shut. (It looked and tasted like poison and Sehun wasn't sure if Chanyeol was to be trusted but he drank it anyway.)
"Since all of you seem to be well on your way to the drunken state, we should begin our little game of truth or dare," Jongdae announced and there were some enthusiastic cheers following his statement. Sehun looked annoyed where Jongin looked just uninterested but amused. Some of the girls were giggling and shoving each other and Sehun was thinking why they even were there because he knew for a fact they were too innocent and inexperienced for a game like this. Well, maybe that in itself explained why they joined since they didn't really know what they signed up for. No one really knew when it came to Jongdae.
"If you fail to answer or fail at doing the dare, you drink. The rules are as simple as that," Jongdae said. "Now which one of you pussies wants to start or do I have to?"
One of the giggling girls raised her hand, receiving an approving nod from Jongdae, motioning her to go spin the bottle.
It started with the lame who is your crush -type of questions, as expected, and Sehun didn't really want it to escalate further from that. Dares were relatively easy too, like hugging the person on your left (oh, these innocent girls) or running to the water till you were in there your knees deep. Sehun had avoided the bottle miraculously, only having been asked a question once ("have you ever watched porn?" courtesy of Kim Jongdae, that little mischievous shit). Jongin had picked a dare once, which he got from Haeun who giggling told him to hug the person on his right, which just happened to be Jaeyeon who had blushed at the contact and smiled shyly at Jongin, who, to Sehun's relief, didn't look affected at all.
As the game continued, the more drunk people got, the more daring the truths and dares got. Jongdae was the one who started to distribute some pretty dirty dares but soon everyone was giving them and Sehun was getting very uncomfortable. He was currently watching Miyoung shake her boobs against Baekhyun’s face, who made sure everyone knew he was enjoying it very much by keeping his hands on the girl’s hips and grinning smugly and widely. Sehun wanted to throw up a little.
The bottle rolled again, and to Sehun’s horror, it stopped to point at him. Miyoung gave her a mischievous smirk and Sehun swallowed nervously.
“Truth or dare?”
Do not fuck this up, Sehun, do not fuck this up. Pick wisely.
“Da… T-truth!” he stuttered, and wanted to hit himself because his speech was becoming slurred and oh god he shouldn’t have drank so much. He pushed the bottle between him and Chanyeol a bit closer to the latter, swearing not to drink any more of it tonight.
“What’s your favorite position?”
Sehun inhaled sharply, blush creeping to his cheeks while Jongin spat out his drink and Chanyeol looked absolutely scandalized. He was not expecting a question like that.
“I don’t- I mean,” he started, eyes drifting to Jongin who looked at him with wide eyes, and Sehun wasn’t sure if he saw some kind of curiosity in his gaze but he was drunk so that could explain it. “It’s um, uh… fuck it,” Sehun stated and grabbed the bottle and took three mouthfuls. as it was the penalty of not answering the question. There were a few disappointed sighs and some cheered him for drinking. No way in hell was Sehun gonna answer a question like that in front of his friends, let alone his best friend, who he had had a major crush on for years already. He didn’t even know what his favorite position was, he had no experience in such stuff.
He grabbed the bottle and spun it fiercely before walking back to sit on his place. The bottle stopped to point at Jongin, who now looked at him expectantly so Sehun asked him the question and Jongin picked a dare.
“I’ve got nothing good for you, can someone else come up with a dare for Jongin?”
The second those words left Sehun’s mouth he realized how big of a mistake it was, and before he had time to open his mouth and take it back, Jongdae had jumped up on his knees, finger pointing at Jongin.
“Kiss your best friend!” he exclaimed and Sehun felt his blood run cold.
“What? No, no no no, you don’t get to mess me into this,” Sehun started, anxiety filling him.
“You don’t get a say, it’s Jongin’s dare. He decides.”
Sehun turned to look at Jongin, pleading him with his eyes but the latter just got up from his spot and walked towards Sehun. Sehun felt like a rock had just dropped to the bottom of his stomach, and somehow there were butterflies too, when Jongin dropped on his knees in front of him and his face got even closer to Sehun’s.
Now is not the time to get excited! This is not how it’s supposed to happen, Sehun tried to reason to himself, but as he looked into Jongin’s eyes, he felt like he couldn’t move. The latter lifted his hand up to Sehun’s cheek and they just stared at each other for a while, Sehun holding his breath as Jongin’s was fanned across his lips.
Everyone stayed perfectly quiet and Sehun could feel their anticipation in the air (or was it his?). His hands trembled on his sides and he hoped no one would notice, or that they would be at least too drunk to realize anything.
Jongin leaned even closer and Sehun’s heart felt like it was gonna beat it’s way out of his chest. They were only inches apart from each other and Sehun didn’t even remember closing his eyes, but suddenly his cheek was cold where Jongin’s hand had been and he opened his eyes to see Jongin scrambling away from him with a frown on his face.
“Like hell I’m doing this,” Jongin huffed angrily and Sehun felt a pang in his heart, but he tried to conceal it with a careless laugh which came out more strangled than he intended to. “He’s my best friend,” Jongin told Jongdae accusingly who just looked extremely disappointed over the lack of kissing activity.
“Sure. Now drink, you pussy and spin the bottle so we can go back to this game and get someone to actually do something.”
Sehun knew he shouldn’t be disappointed because it was obvious that Jongin would never be interested in him. Sehun was pretty sure Jongin was straight and they had been friends for a long time so if Jongin liked him, Sehun would’ve noticed and Jongin should have noticed Sehun’s subtle tries of getting him to acknowledge his feelings. He should have gotten over the pain years ago when he realized nothing was ever going to happen, and yet here he was, trying to put on a normal face when all he wanted to do was just to get away from there. Away from Jongin.
As an amazing actor as Sehun was, he realized he couldn’t fool anyone as a hand wrapped around his fingers tentatively.
“Are you okay?” Chanyeol leaned in to whisper into his ear. Sehun swallowed hard and turned to look him in the eye. That was all it took for Chanyeol to get up and pull Sehun to stand with him, grabbing his jacket.
Sehun didn’t care about the concerned look Jongin sent towards him at this point because he was drunk and he knew he could use it as an excuse tomorrow if someone asked. He wasn’t feeling well so it wouldn’t be exactly a lie either.
Chanyeol tugged him from his hand gently and Sehun followed him to the path that took them back to the building they were staying in.
☆
Chanyeol sat him down on the stairs in front of one of the entrance doors, making sure it was the one the furthest away from the beach so no one would bump into them on their way back to the building. Sehun looked like he wanted to be somewhere private and Chanyeol made sure no one else was close enough to hear them talk.
Sehun ended up spilling all about his secret, one-sided crush on Jongin to Chanyeol, who held his hand through his rambling. Sehun might have spilled a few tears and Chanyeol might have had to hug him for a good fifteen minutes to call him down, but it was all right. It felt good to finally tell someone about it, since Sehun didn’t have a best friend to talk about it with since his best friend was the reason for almost all of his miserable problems.
They talked for a long time, and suddenly they were both yawning and dozing off so they decided to go inside and get some sleep. Chanyeol walked Sehun to the door of Sehun and Jongin’s apartment, giving his shoulder a reassuring squeeze before slipping to the stairway to get up to his own apartment.
Their bedroom was only dimly lit and Sehun tried to be as quiet as possible as he changed his clothes to a t-shirt he sleeped in and slipped into the bed. He closed his eyes, ready to catch some sleep when he heard Jongin shuffle on his side.
“Where did you go?” Jongin asked him, almost hesitant and Sehun opened his eyes lazily without turning his head to look at Jongin.
“I was feeling a bit sick so Chanyeol took me away from there,” Sehun explained. “I didn’t want everyone to see me puke,” he tried to joke, but neither of them laughed. Jongin stayed quiet, staring at Sehun and Sehun kept his eyes on the ceiling.
“Are you okay?” Jongin made it sound like he was asking if he needed to hurl anymore but Sehun knew it wasn’t only about that, so he turned to look him in the eye and gave him a tiny smile.
“Yeah, don’t worry about it, let’s just get some sleep now,” Sehun said, voice low, almost like a whisper and Jongin nodded. They looked at each other for a little longer until Sehun turned his back towards Jongin, closing his eyes and pretending to fall asleep. Jongin didn’t move for a few minutes, and only when Sehun heard him shuffle back to his former position was he able to relax. Jongin had looked more worried than usual and there was something else Sehun couldn’t recognise in his eyes.
They didn’t talk about it in the morning.
☆
The following days consisted of a lot of sightseeing, since it was a class trip, and Chanyeol seemed to be more on Sehun’s side than not. Jongin also grew more irritated as he felt like Sehun was hiding something from him (which he actually was but oh well) even though Sehun tried to explain to him that it wasn’t the case. Jongin still felt like Sehun neglected his duties as his best friend, and Sehun started to feel a little bad about it but he couldn’t help it.
Sehun was nursing a heartbreak because in his eyes the drunken spin the bottle accident counted as a clear rejection and it hurt him more than he was ready to admit. Sehun had been content on just loving him from afar, but it seemed like there had always been at least the tiniest bit of hope of Jongin possibly liking him back. This was the first time Jongin had actually showed how much against the idea he actually was and Sehun felt awful.
Jongin had only dated a girl once during the time they had known each other, and it didn’t last very long. It was during their second year of friendship and it was a hard time for Sehun, although his feelings weren’t as strong yet as they were now. The relationship had only lasted for a few months, fortunately for Sehun, and they had both been single since. They didn’t talk about love a lot since Sehun really had nothing to say about the topic because he couldn’t tell Jongin about his crush, and Jongin figured that Sehun just wasn’t interested in talking about stuff like that.
They were on their way back to the building they stayed in and Chanyeol suggested they’d have a get together in the apartment above Jongin and Sehun’s, to which everyone agreed. Sehun told them he’d go quickly grab something from their own apartment and he bid everyone goodbye. What he didn’t expect was Jongin following him quietly but he didn’t mind.
Not until they were inside the apartment and Jongin closed the front door and stopped Sehun by grabbing his wrist.
“What’s the deal with you and Chanyeol?” Jongin asked, sounding almost angry. Sehun blinked at him for a few times before nudging his hand away.
“Nothing? We’re just hanging out together,” Sehun turned away to head to the bedroom to go grab his phone and jumper to head upstairs.
“But you’ve never hung out with him this much. Even Baekhyun is getting a little irritated,” Jongin accused while following him to the room and Sehun scoffed.
“I don’t see the problem here. I don’t get why you two are acting like jealous boyfriends,” Sehun stated to which Jongin spluttered.
“I do not act like a jealous boyfriend!”
“Sure you don’t,” Sehun said, amused and Jongin huffed angrily.
“I don’t!”
“Okay.”
Sehun continued to rummage through his suitcase to find a suitable jumper and Jongin stood in the doorway, eyes hard and mouth pressed into a thin line. Sehun could feel his hard stare on him but he didn’t want to acknowledge it since he knew Jongin was acting ridiculous. Sehun was not his property and he was allowed to have other friends. He needed to have other friends.
“I just want to spend some time with my best friend,” Jongin suddenly said, sounding a lot calmer now, and a little bit sad. Sehun felt his heart clench a little so he turned around and looked at Jongin. The latter had a miserable look on his face and Sehun really wanted to kiss it away.
“We are spending time together. We’re just doing it with a few more people.”
“But I want to spend time with just the two of us,” Jongin whined and Sehun couldn’t help but smile fondly at that.
“We’ll find time for that, I promise. Let’s just go up now, we can do that later,” he said and patted him on the shoulder before shuffling past him, slipping his slippers on in the doorway.
“Sehun?”
“Hm?”
“You’re still my best friend, right? You’re not allowed to get a new best friend,” Jongin asked and Sehun could swear he also saw him blushing a little.
“Of course, you idiot. I’ve been spending time with Chanyeol for what, three days? We’ve known each other for years, Jongin. I don’t think I’m gonna find anyone who knows me as well as you do anytime soon. You won’t get rid of me that easily,” Sehun assured and Jongin gave him one of his brightest smiles and it squeezed Sehun’s heart, just a little.
☆
“Your hand is touching my dick.”
“Shut up, you know you like it.”
Sehun heard Baekhyun making gagging sounds and then some shuffling, until someone bumped into him, making him lurch against Jongin, who in return lost his balance and leaned on him.
“Jesus fucking christ, stop dry humping each other.”
“We’re not dry humping! I don’t exactly feel comfortable crouching in here and there’s not a lot of place to move around.”
“Yeah, yeah, save your excuses for later, now could you all just shut up until they are gone,” Kyungsoo hissed from the front, turning to give them all his death glare, which effectively made them all quiet down.
It was already late and they had decided on a spontaneous drinking party, but as they were coming back from their alcohol buying adventure they had bumped into their teachers. Well, not exactly bumped since they quickly ran to hide, everyone unfortunately in the same place. They had been crouching down in between a wall and a car for five minutes already and Sehun was starting to feel his legs go numb.
Jongin didn’t really help the situation either, leaning on him, hot breaths of air hitting his neck, making cold shivers run up and down his spine. He tried to act calm but it was really hard because Jongin was so close and Sehun was afraid he would hear his heart beating too loudly and rapidly.
Kyungsoo was trying to sneak a peek of the teachers, and seeing them being really close he suddenly leaned back hard, making Jongin fall against Sehun even more. As Jongin tried to get support from the ground, he accidentally placed his hand over Sehun’s, who let out a high pitched squeak and Jongin looked at him apologetically. Jongin leaned in even closer, his lips almost brushing his ear in order to whisper into it as quietly as he could.
“Sorry.”
Suddenly it was a lot hotter in there and Sehun felt his hand sweat and Jongin’s low, husky whisper made him feel a lot of things he didn’t want to feel at all, at least not in a place like that. He started to fidget nervously but Jongin didn’t seem to notice, still keeping his hand in place and leaning into Sehun like it was the most comfortable place in the world.
They heard the teachers chattering about something, and it seemed like they were heading to the store too. They all held their breaths as they heard them walking even closer, until they were in clear sight. Luckily, the corner they were crouching in was dark and the teachers didn’t pay any attention to it, and soon they had walked past them, letting the boys exhale loudly and slump against each other in relief.
There were a few grunts and hisses as people started to get up from their positions to leave, and Jongin finally lifted his hand off from top of Sehun’s, and the latter sighed in relief. He wasn’t up to any unnecessary physical contact from Jongin since it made his life a living hell.
“We should probably wait for a while before heading to the beach since the teachers are still out,” Chanyeol suggested.
“Maybe an hour or so?”
“Sure, but don’t you people dare to fall asleep or skip the party. I have good plans for tonight!” Jongdae stated all excited and Sehun looked at him in horror. Jongdae’s plans meant trouble most of the time and honestly, Sehun wasn’t exactly keen on finding out what he had made up this time. Jongin, upon seeing his horrified expression, planted a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure it can’t be that bad,” he laughed and Sehun shrugged slightly, not really sure what to say. He didn’t want to be a coward and he didn’t want to miss hanging out with his friends so he just had to go with it.
“I guess,” he sighed and Jongin patted his back twice, giving him a thumbs up.
“It’ll be fine. Who knows, maybe he’s planned something you consider fun this time,” Jongin said and Sehun laughed.
“Might be, but I’m not exactly the party type of a person,” Sehun said and it was Jongin’s turn to shrug.
“You’ll get there,” very fucking unlikely. “You did so good the last time too.” Sehun scoffed at that, remembering the horrible torture called truth or dare he had to go through.
“Yeah. Fun times,” he said dryly.
“See? I knew you would start to like our type of fun,” Jongin exclaimed and Sehun wanted to roll his eyes, but excited Jongin was too cute and he didn’t want to ruin it. He just settled in mumbling a yeah, yeah to Jongin. It couldn’t be much worse than last time, right?

“In what fucking universe do you call this a good plan?” Sehun asked Jongin, not wanting to believe his eyes. He was staring straight as Jongdae's bare ass, as the latter had screamed 'skinny dipping!' before getting rid of all of his clothes and sprinting towards the ocean. Jongin had just laughed and Sehun wanted to punch him.
"Come on, it's not like we've never seen each other naked? There are no girls around here so you have nothing to worry about," Jongin said with a comforting pat on his shoulder before running towards the water.
"That's not what I'm worried about," Sehun muttered and didn't make any move to follow his best friend. He would not participate in this. Especially not now when Jongin was starting to take off his clothes and waving for Sehun to come along, which the latter shook his head furiously to. He sat down on the sand, trying very hard not to stare at Jongin's toned back as he was working to unbutton his pants to take them off. Finally, when Jongin started to step out of his boxers, Sehun flushed and turned to look down, hand idly starting to draw shapes in the sand. This was all too much and he didn't want to rub Jongin's perfectness on his face because he knew he couldn't have him.
"Hey," someone said from his right and Sehun turned to look up to see Chanyeol towering over him. "You okay?"
"Yeah," Sehun sighed and Chanyeol sat down next to him. "Just don't really feel like watching a naked Jongin tittering around when I know I can never get close enough to that body," he continued, trying to make the situation lighter, but his laugh came out more sad than amused. Chanyeol gave him a sympathetic look and clasped their hands together.
"I'm sorry," Chanyeol said quietly and Sehun gave his hand a light squeeze.
"He just always keeps talking about how I would want to spend time with girls and how I should not worry about getting naked in public because there are no girls and I just-" Sehun huffed angrily and waved his free hand around wildly as if trying to make a point with it because he couldn't find any words.
"Have you ever told him that you might not be into girls?" Chanyeol asks him and Sehun groaned.
"I can't, it's too risky. I don't want him to start acting weird around me," Sehun whined sadly and Chanyeol just ruffled his hair, getting an angry glare from Sehun for messing up his hair.
"Nothing is ever gonna change if you continue keeping it a secret," Chanyeol stated. "Jongin will just keep being oblivious and you'll continue hurting."
Sehun whimpered a little, slumping against Chanyeol's side.
"I know. I just want to spend this trip without having to deal with any of it," he mumbled and Chanyeol gave him an understanding hum. "I bet Baekhyun would love it if the girls were here right now."
"Yeah," Chanyeol sighed and they both just watched their friend playing in the water like little children, naked.
It didn't take long for them to feel cold and when they came back to the beach, Sehun quickly covered his eyes with his hands and Chanyeol held his shoulder tightly, telling him when it was safe to look again. Jongin came straight to them, hair wet and a weird look on his face as he looked how close they were sitting to each other and Chanyeol immediately leaned away a bit. Sehun patted the ground beside him, signaling for Jongin to sit down, and the latter did with a smile on his face, hooking their arms together.
"You should have come, it was fun," his best friend exclaimed and Sehun laughed.
"I didn't really feel like swimming, let alone naked," Sehun explained and Jongin just hummed in response.
"Maybe next time?" He asked with sparkling eyes, looking as endearing as ever and Sehun smiled at him softly.
"Yeah, next time."
