My favorite thing about this chapter was all the facial expressions. Mostly the crazy derpy Byakuran ones lol.

This chapter felt kind of ... not as exciting? It took a while for me to realize that Byakuran was kind of, you know, dead, probably. I am more intrigued by the Cervello than I ever have been before. Where do they come from?! Why is there an endless supply of them?! WHY DO THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME???!

I eagerly await the next chapter.

They're probably the parallel world version of Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny.

After all of the buildup, after 140 chapters--literally half of the entire manga--and after the incredibly moving sacrifice of Uni and Gamma to revive the Arcobabies, this is how Byakuran is finally defeated? WITH A GODDAMN X BURNER?

Tsuna just needed that one last power-up, I guess. Y'know, the deaths of people he cared for, right in front of him. :|

I loved the little Byakuran flashback. :D "I may be completely unable to care for other people in any way, shape, or form, but I can at least throw myself entirely into having fun. That makes it okay, right? Right, guys?" Ahaha I almost wanted to give him a hug and take him home and feed him cake for a moment, but then I remembered he'd just kill me for the lulz. Because Byakuran is still Byakuran.

All in all, I guess this chapter was kind of 'eh', made up for by the fact that BYAKURAN IS FINALLY DEAD, THE FIGHT'S OVER, WE CAN ALL GO HOME NOW YAY.

BUT IT WAS TOO ABRUPT. Far too abrupt. And of all the things to finally get him pissed off at Byakuran, he goes for the one thing that wasn't actually Byakuran's fault, too. XD THE LOGIC, WHERE IS IT... sigh.

Yeah, that was pretty much the only thing I really liked in this chapter. Finally we got some real insight into his insanity. It made sense, and explained his dickishness quite well. And his rationale was so messed up, it was adorable. XD

And yeah, I'm still really :| about that ending, but at least it finally is an ending. I hope. On to the epilogue, and then let's get the hell out of here.

Hibari and Xanxus are easy enough, because Xanxus has the scars and all, but Gokudera and Basil are still weirding me out. Part of me is still not sure, and I feel like I won't be whole until I can make up my mind. XDDD ( ... )

-sighs- I guess we both have higher standards for shounen manga like KHR. ^^; Whenever the beginning works so well, we always expect it to maintain it's momentum.

Still, I have hope, as small and disintegrated as it is.

Yeah. I got my expectations up too high; Amano seemed to be building up to something much grander than a super-powered X-Burner. After everything that's happened in this arc, it was a serious letdown.

There's still potential for the epilogue to redeem things, since the Arco will be revived soon, and maybe we'll finally get a few more explanations. And I did like Byakuran's flashback, abbreviated though it was; it was nice to see that at last. All in all, I'm disappointed right now, but as long as Amano still manages to do the aftermath gracefully, I don't think there's any lasting harm done.

His rant in the first half of the chapter made absolutely no sense to me and I can only assume Amano pulled it out of her ass to fill up some page space. XD But I did really enjoy his flashback towards the end; it finally confirmed a lot of things that I've always suspected about him (his disconnection from reality, his sense that nothing really matters because there are infinite universes and it's all just "a game" in the end, and his desire to enjoy that game while it lasts), and even though it was just a couple of pages, I felt like it finally fleshed out his character fully. And of course, it also featured the Cervello, which was awesome.

I hated the abrupt end, lol, but I am glad the arc is finally ending. I wish the end had been more appropriate given all the build-up, but if we're finally moving to the epilogue and the next arc, I sure won't complain about that. XD
