I've avoided discussing Moffat's Doctor Who with my flist because I just can't be bothered, frankly. Despite my problems with the pacing in 4x08, I loved 4x09 and the story works for me as a whole. After seeing both episodes I even came to like River Song in the end, although that could be because Alex Kingston is a great actress rather than due to anything in the script. Yes, I have some issues with the way Moffat writes women characters, especially ones who aren't his OCs like Donna, but I've never been one to analyze things (I fail at fandom) and sometimes I just like to switch off my brain and enjou a good romp. Which Doctor Who usually is.

Some days I just cannot be arsed with all the clever meta.

The brain switching-off seems to be the thing that most people have failed on this week. Normally I overthink things but I'm in the minority this week it seems :D
