Ok, I'm trying to fanwank the really bad science. Maybe the stars are like... an after effect of the time war. So like them going out could have happened a really long time ago and we're just now seeing it on Earth. OR! The stars aren't going out at all and it's just like conveniently placed spaceships in earths atmosphere that are invisible, but still block the light? heheh. Ok, that one is less plausible.

See, I have a feeling that either could be true, but having it happen back in time might be a bit... clever for them? XD The spaceships in the atmosphere strikes me as something they'd do, but they'd have to all be at different points and sizes to just block out a single star. It's all weird, and I'm quite looking forward to seeing what they come up with!
