Desperate

So far, things had been pretty good. They hadn't settled anywhere, they hadn't had any close calls, they hadn't seen anyone from Pentex at all. No scary werewolves, no mindblasting men in suits. But there had also been very little in the way of 'medication', and Sylar has an itch that he doesn't dare scratch. It was exhausting work, trying to ( Read more... )

Smokey hasn't done well unmedicated. She feels sick a lot of the time and overheats easily without Sylar's help. When she sees Mohinder, she vaguely remembers him being a bad person. Why are they following him? She's too tired and sore to worry too much and just follows Sylar's lead into mist form and trails close enough to become one cloud.

With some effort, Mohinder could probably think up a way to help them. It's getting him to be willing to think of it that's going to require some coercion. And his broken nose has only just healed, too.

He doesn't notice that he's being followed, though. Especially as, unlike his alternate, he's unaware of the whole Pentex fiasco, and doesn't know to be looking out for Sylar in mist-form.

Sylar really feels more comfortable in this form now. He uses it as often as possible. He and Smokey follow Mohinder until he moves through a portal. Sylar reforms and waits for Smokey to do so as well before telling her, "This isn't the same man that attacked us. We'll be safe with him." And if not, he trusts Mohinder will at least have the decency to find a way to kill him. "I just have to get him on our side." That could prove difficult.

He holds a hand out for her to hold and starts walking towards the portal.

The only reason they'll be safe is because Mohinder doesn't have any weapons at his disposal to attack them with. He can't outsmart Sylar every time they meet.

But as for killing him...well. Mohinder will give that a lot of long, hard thought.

He unlocks his apartment door and drops his jacket and bag wearily on a chair.
