while I am in no way shape or form an atheist, I shall say one thing:
Two of the biggest motivators for this revolution have been a) the victory of Obama in the US that actually lent the world hope for a brief 5 seconds (couple with the fact that like 60% of Irans population is under 30) and b)the fact that the middle class in Iran is fed up with this b.s. Apparently the bazaris (or whatever, i don't speak farsi) who were instrumental in the first revolution are finished with being placated by oil revenues.
Add the internet, and you have a full fledged revolution. the middle-class is always the first determinant of where a political uprising will go.
