Yeah we left our packs in the hotel and took out day packs. Our travel packs were quiet big. (I don't think we have a picture of jossel in hers in this entire thing. Gah, I need to do like the 'eurojournal as shown from makaer who actually saw that jossel was really on the trip. P)
Yeah, I think my pack was around 35lbs and jossel's was 25. By the end it was probably 40/20ish as we shifted the books we read into my pack. It was _mostly_ clothes tho, so not too bad. It had a really nice hip belt so it just felt like I was a lot bigger than I am - weight carried great.
The only time it became a problem was the brief times we had to go on busy subways with packs.
We could have carried less weight, but since I read 4 books on even this very busy vacation (small books at least!) and jossel 3... at least we overlapped by 1 book! But books are heavy.
