Sixteen

The mood around here has certainly been...bleak. Don't worry, I'm not going to try to give some inane pep talk since I'm not acting like a sappy twit anymore sure the bleakness is perfectly justified ( Read more... )

I'm sure everyone wishes something would happen during exams. They'd take any excuse.

Then they're idiots. Why would you willingly put yourself through something like what happened recently just to avoid exams? Exams are fun!

They're... okay.

I just look at them as a game that tests your abilities and something to help forget these stupid events. Maybe that makes me too much of an optimist.

The best we can do is move on and get on with things I suppose. I actually find the whole busy factor of exams a good distraction from what happened.

Pfft--you tag just as I remember to go "orz" and tag Tsubaki's entry makachopgo June 3 2009, 23:43:13 UTC
Yes, especially when moving on means moving right to a few months away from being victimized by a building.

...You would have much more of a reason than me to welcome the distraction, but that's right. It is a good distraction.

Eek, sorry...O-O; camelliamagic June 3 2009, 23:49:51 UTC
That is a summer plus, none of this happens in our own homes.

Oh, well it's not that bad, I'm just a little sore and still wearing bandages. I hope it doesn't become a bother during praticals. I've just got to remember to keep changing them...

...and maybe keep some spare so I can wrap the other arm if I run into Kid.

Oh, no, I'm just easily surprised o,o makachopgo June 4 2009, 00:45:39 UTC
Rarely if ever, I heard last year the journals made it rain in houses.

Ah. Good. Don't worry about remembering, I'll remind you if you happen to forget.

...And I'm sorry, but I laughed at that.

How have you been doing on exams?

Um, all right, I think. One thing I can thank the event for was that it didn't turn me into someone that forgets to review. How about you?

I think I'm doing okay, but I didn't study during the event...

Don't worry! If you feel confident that you're doing well, then you are doing well. That's how I see it, anyway.

I'm preetty sure most of us would prefer a dragon rampaging around the castle at exam week.

Then I must be a freak, because I'd rather not have another broken rib while taking exams. Exams aren't that bad, are they?

Probably! Bookworms like you probably won't know how mediocre students cope with those things. They have to actually think, and at times you forget while you write those things down and end up with a completely different answer, then you'll have to erase what you originally wrote down and dirty up the paper. During the whole exam, you'll get distracted by the small, dirty, erased part and constantly try to erase it and end up making the spot smaller... then you try to ignore it but you can't because it makes itself more visible... it invades your thinking space. Then the whole time while you're thinking of something to write down as your answer you'll keep getting distracted by that small, dirty spot.

AFTER the exam, you pass the paper and realize you jolted down the wrong answers but you just can't change it because you already passed it and in the end you'll think you're a dumbass and end up with a decreased self confidence...

...Yes, exams are THAT bad, especially written ones.

...Thank you for perfectly summarizing text anxiety to me, but just because I'm a bookworm doesn't mean I don't feel like that sometimes. I just study until I'm confident that I remember everything.

Maybe everybody is just making things harder for themselves and should change their study habits.

I'm not doing it because I want to or anything, I'd just feel weird if I backed out of something after saying I'd do it. Even if it does involve you.
