No idea what's wrong with the printer, but I wonder if you tried restarting it? Sometimes mine won't print at all, as if it isn't getting the message from the computer. So I turn it off and on again and that seemed to fix it.

I lived in Australia, then Indonesia, then Australia again before coming here. Indonesia is very close to Australia geographically but miles away culturally, so it was an interesting experience.
Apparently the printer ink has dried up but the low ink warning light didn't flash to let me know.

I know how you feel about your family coming to your house. I was ready to say to you: But it's your daughter and her family - they just want to see you, not your house! But I'm the same way. The groceries will probably help you feel more ready.

My daughter seems to be allergic to something in our house so it does need to be extra clean when she's here. Food is also stressful because she has coeliacs, but she mostly feeds herself because she knows exactly what she can and can't eat.
