Installation stalls
...until I check out my DVDRW drive. It read CDs and movie DVDs and the Dell data DVD that came with it, but would not read two Computer Music data DVDs. Don't know if it will write anything. Dell web site is confusing as to drivers. Must contact a human.
update: had an hour-long chat session with a Dell tech this morning. Deleted a registry entry. Rebooted in safe mode. Nothing worked. Offered to connect me to the software support side for a fee but I declined. After, I downloaded four possible firmware drivers specific to my service tag from the Dell web site and found none of them apply to my drive. A google search was unsuccessful, too. The Dell resource CD didn't seem to have any drivers for the DVD. Huh?
