Not too many. They weren't very much trouble. [And he had lots of help. He kind of liked the warden babies.] Less so than my own children can be.

I'm equipped to think of it as no trouble at all. Our race places a lot of stock in reproduction. We love caring for them even when they make it difficult. [And they love making them too but he has a feeling if he goes into the Nietzschean sexual competition thing the Doctor might never recover.

Or it might be a fun test of conversational stamina at some point. He doesn't know yet.]
