Personally, I'd lose the flowery doodads on the toe, or if I felt I absolutely must have some sort of adornment, I'd embroider or bedazzle it or something.

Yeah, the flowers don't add anything regarding structure or warmth. And like I said, if I absolutely had to junk it up, I'd embroider them. Someone who's into bling might try Bedazzling rhinestones or brass buttons, but if I wanted sparkly I'd just do the things up in a yarn that had metallic in it to begin with...
but I might actually try these. They would make terrific Christmas gifts for my Mom and Sis.
