You have done so many of these things. You moved out, built a great house and your music speaks to and moves people you have never met before.

You are important to this world. I will be a very lucky girl if I ever get a chance to touch and inspire people just a fraction as much as you do.

I've never quite understood Tom Waits as well as I have recently. I listen to Small Change and it is both cathartic and painful. I can't stop thinking about the record player and the light illuminating your face as you smoked a morning cigarette.
