For many, they need to have faith in themselves (I believe especially those who do not have the help of God b/c they haven't accepted it or those who have, but won't follow Him to receive it). I myself, no matter what has happened, would not have been able to go on without faith in God, and in Him alone. But I seriously agree that to ignore completely all the bad in life would be a tradgedy. Without it, what would we be? You have to break down the muscles to grow stronger. The Bible says God allows ALL things to happen so they work together toward good to those who love Him, simply showing His master plan of allowing things to happen. Lastly, to show how much I agree that focusing on the positive is good, I'll end with a verse. Philipians 4:8 - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
