if anyone can find a face lotion that doesn't contain something carcinogenic in it, i'd like to see it. i started looking into toxic/carcinogenic substances commonly used this morning, and i quickly realized that every lotion we have in the house, whether it was $5 or $20 has more than one carcinogenic substance in it. just because it's a froo-froo

for the most part i've been checking this list (http://www.hallgold.com/toxic-chemical-ingredients-directory.htm) for some commonly used nasties. here are the ones i can't seem to get away from:
-paraben (methyl, propyl, butyl, and ethyl): these are used as antimicrobals and keep products from drying out, but they contain xenoestrogens, which are the same thing that is leached from plastic when it is heated,eww.
-DEA (commonly cocamide dea): this is restriced in europe for it's major increase in kidney and liver cancer from repeated skin applications
-sodium lauryl sulfate (or sodium laureth sulfate)
-DMDM Hydantoin, Diazolidinyl Urea, and Imidazolidinyl Urea contain formaldehyde
-Propylene Glycol- also known as antifreeze.

blame? you're the one to finally motivate me to look into this. i've had this pamphlet sitting on top of my bookshelf with cancerous substances commonly found in toilettries, and i've never worked up the ambition to acutally read it and go through our products. so, thank you.
