Yeah, you're right. I really wasn't oppening my mind to the possibilites. I guess I was just thinking about the show, and how the Water Tribes are all dark skinned, and the EK, FN, and AN are all light skinned. But Mai's uncle is an excellent example. :) And the Sun Warriors are pretty dark skinned themselves.

Yes! :D I'm thrilled, too. Actually, I probably should've made that clearer in my entry. Dev Patel, from what I've heard, is an amazing actor, and judging from interviews that have been conducted, he knows his stuff, unlike McCartney.

Yeah, that is kinda weird. And, you know, seeing as he's royalty, then dark skin would have to be the...well, sign of noble blood or something. :\

Personally, I think Dev would be a MUCH better Sokka. I'd love him as Sokka. But I digress.

I originally though Patel would have been better as Sokka (hello, spitting image!!). But after seeing him on The Daily Show I think he has the perfect disposition for Zuko. Really, I think he'll do a great job.

As for Mai, I have no idea. Here is an excerpt from a Philadelphia magazine. "producers are looking for hundreds of people in good shape, particularly for people of Asian Indian descent." But I guess we won't really know until the second movie.

Dev Patel would be totally perfect for sokka!!!! In irl he's absolutley adorable and ridiculous!!! You should also see the character he plays in skins (who pretty much acts ridiculous as hell lol)
