Man! I was going to stop by after the dinner theatre I'm going to tonight and maybe have a dance with you. I know I wasn't a regular attender, but I will miss our dances. I can't have a party for about a month because of work and commitments, but as soon as I can we'll have a big blow out one! I still have my karaoke machine and I'll buy some new microphones. Big hug!--JOY
We have been going to Stables for our kareoke fix when we are just too tired on Friday and it is not the same atmosphere as Ground Round. On the other hand I never had the Ground Round buy everyone a shot during a song. It is small and noisy and has more of a bar feeling to it. Baily's in Canton does kareoke on Thursday and the one time we were there it was empty. He has a great selection but puts right in his book "that the bar has to make money so plesae don't just come and drink water all night."
Both places have a fairly short waiting list but Stables can get pretty crowded but we gernerally get there around 11:30-midnight. I think Karen does a show on Thursday's but I don't know where.
When Scott told me, I almost cried. We actually did go the last couple of weeks they were open and they never announced they were closing or anything. There are so many great memories. Plus, that's where Drez & I had our first kinda/sorta date. If anyone wants to try out one of these other karaoke places, let us know.
