Of all the things Tim had expected? He wasn't sure honest to god monsters were one of them. Not monsters like he was used to, either, terrible people who did inexplicable things. But no, actual monsters.
Feeling pretty solidly torn between his training and the need to hide his training (he wasn't Robin, not in the slightest now)-- well, eventually he'd discarded a little bit of his caution. Sure, he'd be careful, but as long as no one made the 'Robin' connection, he should be okay. Until then, protecting people took priority.
Tim had been pretty solidly sneaking around, trying to avoid notice as much as possible (and to avoid conflict when he was-- he'd done his fair share of dashing already, and it was still early yet), he noticed someone large imposing and not quite human-- but not really a monster either.
He was fairly silent as he slipped closer to the beast man, before he hissed, "watch out." They were mostly in the clear, but the man was still making himself into a target.
At the sound of an unfamiliar voice, Leo looked up, standing straight as he managed to shake off most of his dizziness. He glanced about himself, checking to see if there were any obvious threats nearby. Seeing none, he glanced back at the stranger and nodded. "What has happened here?" he asked, voice low - it wouldn't do to have something overhearing them and attacking them as a result.
He didn't recognize the young man before him, not having met many in this place to begin with, and he wondered just what he had missed while he'd been out of commission.
At least this... guy-- guy seemed like the best word, anyway-- seemed to be smart enough for that. That was a good bonus at least. Tim kept close and out of sight, sticking to the shadows almost naturally. He shifted a bit, kind of an uncomfortable gesture, before he explained.
"I don't know," he admitted, after a moment. "Night fell and-- it got messed." He frowned. "Have you been here long?"
Leo raised an eyebrow. So things went wrong just by night falling? If anything, that only further solidified his belief that something was terribly wrong with this place. "How did that happen?" he pressed, wanting further details than slang he could barely manage to puzzle out. He shook his head at Tim's question. "Perhaps a day. Time appears to go slowly here."
He didn't explain that he'd somehow passed out and didn't quite remember what had happened to cause him to lose consciousness just yet. He needed to find out just what was going on here first.
