For whatever reason, Leon was still sticking with Liz and Ada, although he had an odd feeling he would from time to be time be placed into a situation in which the two would agree about him, and the agreement would likely be about something negative in his personality.

Truthfully, though, he was sure the reason he stuck near them was two-fold. One was that he knew both of them to be capable women, and if he had to be stuck in a strange place he would rather have competent people near him than not - and so far he hadn't talked enough with the other residents to figure out if they were competent or not ( ... )

Basic resources were the key, here. Sure, the food might be poisoned, but slowly starving to death and losing strength and wits wasn't her ideal plan. Ada wasn't sure how she felt about moving in a group, preferring to be on her own most of the time... but, it wasn't as though Liz or Leon had slowed her down yet. Until they became a liability, she could handle it.

The smell of the stew was what caught her attention next, and the woman paused briefly to eye the contents within. "Freshly cooked," She said aloud, but if one were to look at her face, they'd see she was frowning.

Who made this? One of the house guests? Or someone else?

"It's not so bad, I hear." The stew she meant. She poked at the dumbwaiter, leaning her head in a bit to look at it, wondering if it went up or down and if there was a possibility that she could use this. There had to be a way up top. Other then following a lil ghost girl ( ... )

Leon shifted a little to look at Liz when she said she hoped the stew was safe, before turning his eyes to Ada. "Don't worry, it'd only end up being poisoned for me I bet." And that said, he went to pull out what appeared to be some crackers and began crossing to the counter.

That's when the chimes began, and although he didn't pay them a great deal of attention, the hushing sound from the girl - he was quite sure it was her - did get it, and instinctively Leon looked around the room.

As it all ceased, Leon found it strange that there did seem a moment of utter silence, before the sound Liz had clasped hands to her ears over began. Unlike Liz, however, Leon's reaction to the noise was only a wince, and then another sharp look around, hand sliding instinctively near his gun; he wasn't even going to bother trying to respond to Liz with that noise going on.
