The girl giggled, letting him hear, and appeared in the corner of his eye again, hands covering her mouth to conceal her glee. Like a small child caught in a game that doesn't know when to be still.

She giggled again, muffling it with her hands, amused by the sight of the beastman spinning in the aisle.

Leo stopped, his ears twitching and straining for the source of the sound. It was obviously a small child, but where she was, he couldn't see. "It's alright to come out," he said, not particularly in the mood to play (not that he ever was, really). At least she didn't sound afraid of him - perhaps it was Nina, come to find him again. She had believed this to be a game, after all.

The girl giggled again. "Are you looking for a book?" He liked children. She knew he liked children. "Can I help?"

She stayed just out of view, voice sing song and friendly.

Leo was quite fond of children, and had been hoping for nieces and nephews from his little sister and her new husband at some point. More than that, the mystery of this place had him ready to fight for the sake of everyone, just as he had before coming here.

"I'm looking for information on where we are," he replied. "If you know anything, I would be glad of your help, little girl."
