So far Midnighter had determined two things. The first was that there was no way out. The doors and windows didn't break, and if they didn't break when he hit them there was a good chance nothing was going to break 'em. The second was that there were more people in this house than just himself and that kid judging by how the dust in the house had been disturbed. Only problem with that second observation was that, other than the kid, he hadn't run into anyone. Given that the house wasn't that big, either they were hiding or he had some sort of fucking choice blindness where these mysterious people were all where he wasn't looking. Odder things had happened.

And then he saw a kid with an eye-patch in the dining room. Oh good, he wasn't going totally crazy after all.

"What do you know about this place?"

The teen turned, then blinked at the man. Wow. He was kind of...odd looking. Akito was kind of glad his other was asleep, he didn't doubt Agito would be muttering in his head otherwise and that was kind of distracting.

"Nyu? Not much, I'm afraid..." he replied, turning fully to face the other, though he kept his hand on his shoulder in an attempt to make it hurt less. It wasn't working well, but he liked to think it was. "I just know that there's not a lot of ways out, and it's like this place is haunted. Also it's smaller than I thought it'd be." He hummed a little, considering before shrugged. "Also it's been at least five normal days, but the sun hasn't set yet." It was only just past noon, judging by the clock...

Oblivious to the fact his head-to-toe leather costume might be considered odd, he crossed the dining room to be closer to the other person in the room. Never in the 10+ years of "life" had he ever been glad to see a stranger, at least not one he was planning to kill.

"Shit, seriously? How can you know that it's been five days if the sun hasn't set? Maybe the clocks are fast."

Noticing the way the eye-patch kid kept holding his arm, he added "What happened to your shoulder?"

"I have an internal clock that can't be tampered with or changed. I can tell time to the second, so I know it's been five days, 9 hours, 5 minutes and 32 seconds since I arrived here, and it hasn't been night once." Akito wasn't showing off as such, just stating what he knew. Also the only clock he'd seen was actually going very slowly.

He rubbed his shoulder a little. "Ah...I got hurt before arriving here. My collarbone's broken. It hurts a little." He wasn't willing to take the painkiller for forever, so it was hurting more today, but he could ignore it. So long as it didn't slip out of place again, he'd be fine.

Of all the people she was expecting to see, a young boy was not one of them. She had never been good with children, lacking that maternal instinct that seemed prevalent in so many women. He didn't look particularly alarmed--or injured--so there was a slim chance that maybe he lived in this place.

"Are you lost?" She asked softly after a moment, relaxing her posture so she wouldn't come off as quite so frozen as normal. Even children could be dangerous. She knew that all too well.

Injuries were good when people couldn't really see them. It made them worry less.

Akito glanced at the woman and smiled a little. "I guess so. I've been here for awhile, but I don't know where this place is," he replied, turning to face her and resisting the urge to rub his shoulder. "I arrived here awhile ago. About five days, though it hasn't been night yet."

"Five days?" He'd been trapped in this house for that long? Her eyes lingered on those bright locks of his for a moment, wondering who on earth would let their child dye their hair like that, but dismissed it after a moment. "You've found food and water, at least."

There was a smile for his words, but it was absent, almost distracted. "I don't think anyone does just yet. What's your name?"

Fun fact, natural hair colour. Akito hadn't touched hair dye in his life, his brother would've killed him. "Yup! There's stuff in the kitchen, enough that you don't go hungry, but some of it looks weird." At least it tasted okay. He still wasn't touching that stew pot though. Too creepy.

He nodded agreement at her words. "I'm Akito, Akito Wanijima," he replied easily. His other was stirring, but the light didn't bother to wake him up fully. No real need right now.

Now that noon had arrived, and with the appearance of the 'welcome' note, Tim was looking out for anything else of note. He doubted the logic of things suddenly changing without warning but... well, the 'welcome' was something. Because that probably meant someone was here, messing with them or otherwise. So that meant maybe they'd missed something-- or that maybe there was something new.

Besides, it wasn't like there was much else to do besides quadruple (or was it more by now?) check the surroundings.

So that was the logic that brought Tim back to the dining room (besides something to eat wouldn't hurt-- he'd put off eating because he didn't trust food in a strange place, but there wasn't a lot of choice, frankly). And once there, he spotted another boy, someone close-ish to his age. With just a small amount of surprise on his face, he waved and said, "hey there."

The light glanced up from the ruby rose he'd been looking at and smiled at seeing the other. He hadn't really met anyone that looked like they could be age (though they'd forever be taller than him, but he was good at guessing ages). "Hi!" he waved back happily. New people to meet!

Tim dropped his hand out of the wave when he got his response, moving a little bit closer to the other-- now that he noticed it, much smaller-- boy. He smiled, friendly enough, before he asked, "Doing some exploring?"

"Kinda, yup," he replied easily. "I've looked around everywhere, but this room's really neat. Lots of pretty things~" Akito liked his pretty things. This room held his attention a lot with them.
