Dean was back in the Journey bedroom, but he had one of the walkie talkies handy. He grabbed a few extra ones as well. Mom was here, always a chance Sam or Cas or Bobby showed up. But now there was somebody talking on it, and nobody he recognized.

"What the hell?" Whoever it was, chick sounded freaky.

"Not hell." The voice sounded almost dreamy, trailing of into a giggle. "Daddy? Is that you, Daddy?"

A muscle in Dean's jaw twitched, briefly thinking of Ben. But the closest he came, was almost calling him Dad. Not exactly the same.

"Doubt it, whoever you are." Even if he knew he wasn't always good about wrapping it up with his lay of the night.
