His gaze was flat and unemotional when she stumbled out of the room, face guarded and just this side of hostile. If it was another Niall, he was out of here, and he didn't care what locked door he had to open to get out of there and away from the person.
He took a step forward when she curled, keeping his face calm. Sympathy could get him killed, and he knew it. He couldn't let them in. It would just end up hurting him more.
He sighed, fishing a bottle of water out of his bag, and knelt down, offering it to her. "You always get dizzy the first time, water helps." The words were soft, uncertain, as though the boy wasn't quite sure he even wanted to be here.

When the water bottle appeared and the boy spoke she looked up to him slowly, blinked, then took the offered bottle with out much thought to it. "You've been through it before?"
She didn't recognize him. A Kid. There seemed to be a lot of them around here. Cracking open the water bottle she mindlessly took a careful sip, put the cap back on and tipped her head back against the wall while watching him. Flat and emotionless she said. "Thank you." as she indicated the water bottle in her hands.

He shrugged at the thanks, settling on the floor in front of her. "It'll fade. You get used to being alive again, instead of just breathing for a little while. It's kinda weird."

Liz, of all people, was very used to just sitting for hours and staring at a wall, thinking about nothing, doing nothing, just breathing. The event on a whole wasn't too bad, in that regard. Still, it was weird. "You seem to know a lot. How long have you been here?" She was still unsure how many people were here before she was.

He had come because he understood how alarming it was to find himself somewhere he hadn't been, dizzy and out of sorts and trying to sort his memories out. "It's kinda weird, I like jumping or tumbling when I have control of it. But the in and outs always feel frantic."
His smile faded, wrapping his arms around his knees. "I was born here."
Because that was the only explanation he could offer.

He was no stranger to being stuck in a world but he was used to not sharing his space with others that he could kill with one hand. And it was no fun to be stuck somewhere if you couldn't mess with the mind of the world's King. What the hell was he supposed to do?
Having reluctantly leaving his territory--the Dawn Room--the hollow snarled and took the giant weapon from his back then slammed the blade into the floor tip first. It wouldn't stay buried for long, as he already knew, but he didn't care. He was in the mood for damaging things. The hallway would do despite the instantaneous repairs that would take place.

She had been talking to a young boy but by now they had split. She had started to get her butt off the ground, leaning on the wall when she heard the sharp hard thunk of a blade stabbing the floor. Her arms curled around her middle a bit tighter, eyes narrowing some.
It wasn't night yet, was it? Creatures and fighting and things? She remembered that first night, getting separated from her group and--well, she didn't see anyone or anything after that. For a moment she wondered again if she had died.
As for territory? The Dawn room was her her last base of operations and meeting place. Her and... and... Ooooh, her head felt foggy still. Leon? Right! Crap... I wonder if he's still alive too. She pondered for a moment before she realized she was walking towards that end of the hall, looking for the source of the sound ( ... )

"Fuck off, woman."
He never liked the way the hallway looked. Too much useless shit around and the floors... were just stupid.

"Nice attitude." She mumbled.
Useless shit? Oh yeah, this will be a great conversation.

"Last thing I remember, I was... running for the door... had to find the passage back... to the place I was before --"
It cuts off as the owner of the Irish lilt spots Liz, raises an eyebrow blandly at her and tilts his head.
"Hello, miss. I think it quite suits this place, don't you?"

Instead she attracted more ghosts? Or people who seemed rather ghost like? This one though, was mostly just in the strange song she heard, and the comment he made. Looking up at the other person she decided to assume, first, that he too was new here and not a resident 'born here'.
"Fitting. Yes." She was sure he meant the muffled little song she thought she had heard. Rubbing her face with a hand she took a deeper breath, as if to make herself wake up a bit more. "Nice song."

He tilts his head, studying her curiously for any signs of damage.
"I'd say you look like you'd seen a ghost, but in this place it's not much of a surprise after a while now -- is it?"

She tilted her head back to the wall, looking up at him. No, she hadn't seen him before. Not at the meeting at least. Either he was another fixture of the house or he was new. How long had she been... out?
"A little dizzy." She stated, but wiggled the water bottle in her left hand just a bit to make it slosh some. "Waters helping though."
No, she wasn't surprised by the statement. She was actually a little amused. "This place is full of ghosts. I take it you're not one of them then." She could never be sure anymore.

Upon taking a moment to look the hallway's apparent resident over, he couldn't help but to feel like he recognized her. While he was positive that he'd never properly met the woman, he was sure that he'd seen her around here before. Though if that was the case, it had certainly been no less than a long while ago. At that meeting, perhaps?
If he had to guess, he would have said that at least two months had passed since then. Probably more. Maybe three. It was a little bit unnerving to think that it had been so long.
There was no way he could be positive about having seen her. The meeting hadn't only been fucking ages ago; he'd also been at decidedly less than his best.
How utterly frustrating.
"I can't stand to be so uncertain," he commented dryly, tone laced with distaste. He leaned back against the opposite wall and crossed his arms, ( ... )

It was stupid to just linger here like this, but for the moment the fact that she knew this area was almost a comfort.
The unfamiliar voice however that had come up towards her was not one that she knew. The face however was one she was sure she had seen before. Perhaps back at that meeting... when ever it was? She had helped by counting how many showed up and tried to keep in mind who was who, but that seemed like so long ago (as well as just a few days ago) and her mind was in such fog.
At first she had to blink her eyes to focus, watching this guy lean on the all across from her. "I could ask the same about you." Her voice was emotionless, flat. "I think we were at a meeting together, some days back." Days? Months? Yeah... she's at a loss.

Mello wasn't sure why he was questioning it so damn much. It hardly mattered.
"Some days back?" He smirked, though his gaze was quite unmistakably bitter. "I think I'd be more inclined to call it months."
There were plenty of things here that were wildly different than they had been back where he'd come from. Plenty of things that it had been necessary to adapt to in order to survive. And he had. He'd adapted.
Becoming used to those things, however, was different. It was harder, and there was something about it that left a bad taste in his mouth. It felt almost like giving up and accepting this. Even if keeping an exact track of passing time had become no less than impossible, Mello doubted that he'd ever be able to think in terms of how it passed here. His own world ( ... )

A hand moved to rub over her face. She knew she had to get up, to get moving. Sitting here would do nothing, but she still felt pretty badly and just 'one more minute' kept turning into a few minutes longer.
"Months huh? Great..." She believed him though. It was hard not to believe him after all this. "How many of us are here now, do you know?" She wasn't sure if he was the agreeable type or not, as she barely remembered him, but still... it couldn't hurt to ask.
