Nina pushed the door the library open, yawning and dragging her feet, shawl pulled around her shoulders and trailing on the floor, too long for her tiny frame. She was sleepy and needed to go to the potty, and it was bright. Something in her head said it shouldn't still be bright, but she didn't know why it shouldn't be.

Maybe the sun just wasn't sleepy yet. Maybe it still wanted to play. Or something. She hoped daddy wasn't worried about her, and that none of the other books got angry. She'd like a bed though, even if the chairs were comfy to sleep in.

She blinked at the lady standing guard, head tipped to the side. "Is he sick? Did he hit his head or something?"

Liz blinked as the little girl came in with the shawl that was too big for her. She settled her arms around her knees loosely, slowly letting one leg uncurl and lower to the ground. Leaning on the other knee she glanced over at Leon, then the girl again. This one at least talked to her.

"No. He's just resting." She said in a softer voice, so not to bother the other. She looked over the girl carefully. She was deferentially not the girl she saw on the stairs the other... day? She was the other one, the one she heard about, trapped here too. There were others they had noticed, but not those of the house.

Still, she needed to go search out the others soon. See if they knew more. Why was... a little girl here anyhow. "Did you just wake up too?" She asked the sleeping looking girl, her voice still light and soft. At least Liz liked kids.

No matter how lowly Liz or Nina spoke, Leon was still partly set for fight or flight action, even if all he wanted to do was sleep for almost forever, and he shifted a bit when the girl's began their conversation, opening an eye to peek at them.

"Yeah huh. I was sleeping in the library." She yawned, rubbing her eyes. "Adults get tired too, huh? How come you're not sleeping?" She might be half awake, but she was four and surrounded by strangers. "Is he your friend?"

They both looked ready to fight, like the military, and daddy said you could always trust the military.

"I'm Nina." She smiled, still rubbing at her eyes. She felt so tired for it not being night time, even after sleeping for a little while.

"I just woke up as a bit ago." Which was mostly the truth. She had woke up from her own nap a... bit... ago. She didn't tell a little girl that they were sleeping in shifts because it was safer however. This girl seemed to know no fear. Liz wondered if she was a ghost as well or just trapped here.

She glanced over at Leon, catching his open eye. So much for letting him rest. Still, she returned her gaze to the child. "I met him here. That's Leon. I'm Liz. It's nice to meet you Nina."

Even with Leon awake she spoke softly, a calm voice, watching the girl. "Have you been here long, Nina? Anyone here with you?"

Leon shifted so that he lay on one hand, propping himself up so the little girl would know he was awake, and gave her a faint smile when Liz introduced him. He'd be silent otherwise, until he had something to say.
